The terrace overlooking the Wye Valley offers a lovely space to unwind, especially on a clear day. Conveniently located near Riverside walks, it’s a fantastic spot for those looking to explore the outdoors.
Things got a bit chaotic during peak hours at the bar. during our visit, it seemed understaffed and messy, with empty glasses piling up. I had to order my dinner at the bar, while other diners had more traditional table service, which felt a bit off. The absence of a lift made navigating the stairs tricky for some guests, especially the older ones. Wi-Fi was a bit hit-or-miss, and the room, although decent in size, lacked sufficient hanging space and drawers for gear, making it cluttered in a matter of moments.

Beautifully decorative interior, spectacular views from the terrace, charming historical atmosphere
More drawer space could enhance room comfort!!! A lift would be beneficial with heavy luggage or mobility challenges!!! Toiletries could be improved to offer better quality!!!

The location offers stunning views, enhancing the dining experience, and the staff provided attentive service. the room felt dated and lacked essential furniture like a chest of drawers for convenience. While the food was generally good, bathroom amenities could be improved for a more comfortable stay.

We absolutely loved the cozy family atmosphere, especially the lovely view from our room over the river. The breakfast with many cooked options was a hit with the grand kids, and the terrace bar was perfect for relaxing while enjoying the scenery.
For dads, it would be great to have a small fridge in the room for snacks and drinks for the kids.
